Engagement Director

Job Description

TerrAvion is the leader in the aerial imagery market for agriculture.  We are looking for an engagement director to help our distribution partners and farmer users incorporate aerial imagery into the agricultural decision-making process.  The engagement director will partner with our Chief Revenue Officer and Chief Product Officer to build an engagement program that helps our users realize the full value of aerial imagery in agriculture.  

Responsibilities

  • Define value propositions for aerial imagery in various agricultural sectors, including corn, soybeans, cotton, potatoes, wine grapes, citrus, and other leading crops

  • Build a program to communicate value propositions to distribution partners and farmer users

  • Design a process to help users prioritize their imagery to realize imagery value in a quick and efficient manner

  • Manage a team to communicate value propositions, prioritize imagery, and answer users questions

  • Advise on product features and ecosystem integration strategies

  • Track key engagement metrics, and implement programs to ensure optimum user engagement

  • Review effectiveness of engagement efforts, and employ continual optimization

Requirements

  • 4-year University Degree in related discipline, Masters or Doctorate degree a strong plus.

  • Deep experience in agronomy and precision agriculture, especially pertaining to variable rate applications associated with in-field geospatial variation

  • Strategic thinker, but hands-on and a strong mentor who can jump in to teach the team to solve problems

  • Ability to manage a team

  • Capacity to work well under pressure and at a rapid pace

Location

Position is located at headquarters in San Leandro, CA, three blocks from the BART station.
