TerrAvion is the largest volume provider or aerial imagery to farms in the US. Successful applicants will manage the development TerrAvion’s sensor systems.  Both hardware and software experience is preferred. TerrAvion deploys tens of complex autonomous sensor platforms that work in harsh environments.  Challenges include non-standard vibration profiles, constant pressure changes, varying temperatures, unskilled operators, and big data. Applicants should demonstrate the ability to self-manage and communicate well.  

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience designing, prototyping and verifying systems for various embedded applications

  • Experience developing and maintaining firmware for embedded platforms

  • A strong ability to document one’s work

  • Experience designing and implementing testing procedures for complex systems

  • A strong background in C++

  • Experience with multithreading applications

  • Experience with interface protocols, USB a must

  • Background in Linux and Unix based hardware integration

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with python

  • Experience working with GPS or other inertial/location-based sensing

  • Background in cameras, optics, or other imaging related fields
